Nursery Ideas - Robots & Shapes

If the time has come for you to start thinking about how your nursery might look, you may well be wondering where to start……

 What do you need?

Which colours work well in a nursery?

How can you make your nursery a little bit different?

How do you achieve a contemporary look that is cute and fun?

Choosing your nursery colour scheme has actually never been tougher.  With endless options available, you may feel overwhelmed by the choices that you are faced with.

In our latest nursery mood board, we have introduced a fun theme that will stand the test of time and remain relevant for baby boys as they develop in to curious fun loving toddlers.

Although blue is considered a cold colour that reminds us of the sky and the sea, it is believed to have a calming effect on children.  Blue is said to help children who are prone to tantrums and is also known to help those who struggle to sleep.

Combining blue with a light shade of yellow (which is known to be associated with happiness), you will create a happy but calm bedroom that encourages sleep but maintains a distinct and fun look and feel.

We have used a variety of textures, shapes and colours and combined them with our natural oak Dreema Cot bed, Dreema Changing unit and Ashdown Glider and footstool to create what we think is a seriously cute but fun and contemporary nursery.
